Procedure for Improving the Management Capacity of Production Processes with an Industry 4.0 Approach

Industry 4.0 represents a new industrial and technological paradigm based on the integration of advanced digital tools. Its articulated application enables the optimization of planning, strengthens data-driven decision-making, increases efficiency, ensures traceability, and expands production capacity in modern manufacturing systems. These transformations are especially relevant in biomedical sectors, where product precision and personalization are critical factors. In this context, companies seek to evolve into smart factories, capable of becoming more competitive and sustainable in a dynamic global environment. This paper proposes a procedure aimed at improving the management capability of production processes, grounded in the principles of Industry 4.0. This approach was applied to the production process of hearing aids at the Cuban Neuroscience Center (CNEURO). The results demonstrate that the progressive adoption of digital tools contributes significantly to raising the efficiency and effectiveness of the production system, consolidating process management capability aligned with Industry 4.0 principles.
