https://rctd.uic.cu/rctd/article/view/272

Cybersecurity is responsible for the protection of the computer structure and the information stored in the computer equipment of organizations in different sectors of society. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the maturity of cybersecurity in the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Havana by means of a synthetic index. This index, based on key dimensions and indicators such as top management commitment, cybersecurity education and awareness, as well as the implementation of technologies and management systems, allows identifying strengths and weaknesses in the context of facing the cybersecurity risks that have intensified in recent years in Cuban universities. Methods such as analysis-synthesis were applied to integrate the results from different sources; inductive-deductive methods were used to draw general conclusions based on specific observations; the statistical method facilitated the validation of the data obtained, while tools such as Excel, SPPS and RStudio supported the quantitative analysis. On the other hand, the fieldwork and the focus group provided valuable qualitative information, and the logical scheme of the synthetic index served to structure the calculation of the cybersecurity maturity indicators. The research reflects positive results for the faculty, the overall index, dimensions and indicators show a high maturity. It demonstrates the importance of overcoming existing weaknesses such as the allocation of clear responsibilities and understanding of obligations and risks to prevent threats to information security.
Emilio Enrique Guerra CastellónEdgar Nuñez TorresYasser Vázquez Alfonso

https://rctd.uic.cu/rctd/article/view/269

In one of the entities of the Military Enterprise System, asset storage and distribution processes are carried out. These processes are carried out through automated systems that have independent relational databases. Checking these processes at the data level is especially important to determine irregularities and constitutes the main objective of this work. To solve the problem raised, Business Intelligence concepts were used, based on a non-specific or empirical three-layer methodology, which takes characteristics from other established methodologies and adapts them to the environment where they are applied. The use of heterogeneous trees was introduced as a data structure to carry out the check, and to minimize the number of iterations on the files that store the asset data. A simple desktop application was implemented to view the results of the check. Finally, decisions were made based on the analysis of the processed data and not on printed document files.

Maicol Almarales Tamayo

https://rctd.uic.cu/rctd/article/view/266

The loyalty of customers in software companies is an issue of growing relevance in a competitive and dynamic environment. This study focuses on investigating the most effective strategies to promote customer loyalty, raising key questions about the practices that work best in the sector and how companies can adapt to emerging trends. The objective, provide a detailed analysis of success and good practices at international levels. Research findings indicate that loyalty not only reduces the costs of acquiring new customers, but also increases recurring income through the repetition of purchases. It has been observed that the customization of the user experience and the creation of online communities are fundamental to strengthen loyalty. Companies that implement customer relationship management systems (CRM) and use technologies such as artificial intelligence achieve better understanding of their customers, allowing them to offer more relevant solutions. In conclusion, customer loyalty is essential for long -term success of software companies. Effective strategies not only improve customer retention and satisfaction, but also contribute to the financial stability of the company. This study underlines the need to continue investigating areas such as the impact of technology on loyalty and ethical considerations related to the use of customer data, which could further enrich knowledge in this field..
Dailyn García Dominguez

https://rctd.uic.cu/rctd/article/view/262

Interoperability enables public administrations to exchange public information more quickly and easily and is recognized as a key factor supporting the digital transformation of countries. The countries' interoperability policy documents aim to explore the role of reference models and their follow-up mechanism to foster interoperability among public sector entities, as well as the digitization of public administrations and services. Cuba has worked on a National Interoperability Scheme and Bolivia on guidelines for the implementation of interoperability services by public sector entities of the Plurinational State of Bolivia. This article presents a case study of both reference models for interoperability. In particular, it analyzes knowledge, good practices and lessons learned from the implementation of interoperability in both countries. The study shows that successful implementation of interoperability depends on a strong commitment to align with international initiatives, policies and best practices. It also identified findings that can be generalized and applied in different environments.
Ailyn Febles EstradaEsteban Saavedra López

Universities are introducing more and more technologies to digitally transform themselves, which leads to a cultural transformation that allows them to obtain added values. The paper deals with the implementation of a software for the digital transformation of doctoral training processes at the University of Matanzas. A systematisation of digital transformation is carried out in order to describe its fundamental processes, as well as the main models that allow its introduction in universities. The methodology used is Rational Unified Process because this software will also be integrated with others in the digital ecosystem of the university. This methodology allows a detailed description based on graphical models of each of the software development processes. Finally, the phases of the system implementation are described using the Unified Modelling Language.

Alfredo David Morales Alfonso Walfredo González HernándezRicardo Patricio Medina Chicaiza

https://rctd.uic.cu/rctd/article/view/259

Innovation is essential for business and social development. In Cuba, it is considered a process of transforming information into knowledge and the ability to generate competitive goods and services. Despite efforts to promote innovation, especially in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), obstacles persist such as lack of financing, high costs, insufficient infrastructure, resistance to change and lack of technological information. The Information Technology and Communication Enterprise Group (GEIC), founded in January 2015, has been dedicated to guiding, directing and supervising eight entities whose main activity is related to information technology and communications. At the end of 2021, the GEIC began the Strategic Exercise for the period 2022-2024 and the diagnosis establishes that "the results of the R&D&I activity do not translate into innovative products and services." With the purpose of establishing innovation management in the GEIC as a fundamental pillar of business management, the topic has been analyzed in multiple spaces and several tools have been applied to evaluate its status. As a result, the main causes that affect its management are identified, such as the fluctuation of human resources, planning and budget problems, lack of market orientation, technical challenges and poor project management, the latter being considered the one with the greatest impact. Many of these causes are related to skills and competencies that must be developed within the organization and represent important challenges for the GEIC in its search for more effective and innovation-oriented management.

Elizabeth Garcia CuestaJosé A.
An Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) is a system that allows an organization to manage its entire business, especially its key processes. They are generally complex systems with multiple modules or subsystems that integrate information. One of the ERP systems that stands out in the international environment is Odoo. In Cuba, Desoft Computer Applications Company has developed a localization of Odoo ERP known as Zoom LC Odoo adapted to the Cuban environment and certified its accounting process. In the last few years, new types of economic actors have appeared in this environment, contributing together with the State Enterprise to the economic development of the country. As most of the organizations, it is necessary to manage their processes and for this purpose it is proposed to implement the ERP Zoom LC Odoo. The ERP implementation process is a complex process, which must look at the organization and its fundamental processes. The implementation process proposed by Desoft, based on the Odoo deployment methodology, has made it possible to mark.
Lisandra VillarinoJosé Lavandero GarcíaEdistio Yoel Verdecia Martínez
