Abstract

The paper presented the topic of intelligent drives for home automation security systems for buildings with varying difficulty levels, or multiple protocols for entry, which requires the use of various sensors and drives, complicating their deployment and operation and increasing energy consumption and costs. If an "Arduino" controller is used in the design concept to handle security, wireless communication and drive, and an Android device as the user interface, a multi-protocol system for access control will be obtained with fewer physical elements, simple and secure activation, low consumption and cost, easy to deploy and operate, ensuring its use by people with disabilities, primarily the blind. Multi-protocol intelligent drive systems similar to the one proposed in this paper were reviewed, analyzing their operation, specifying their advantages and disadvantages, and identifying the possibilities for modifying these systems to improve their features. The proposed design was then described in a way that allowed it to be reproduced and its performance improved, even making it feasible for use by older adults and people with disabilities, such as the blind.
